Frederik Vesti participated in Free Practice 1 for the Grand Prix in Mexico, where he drove in George Russell's car. Twice during a season, each team must make their cars available to an F1 rookie and Mercedes used this to give Vesti the opportunity to complete a test program.
The test itself went smoothly as planned and Frederik Vesti placed great emphasis on how valuable it was for him to compare the Mercedes F1 simulator with the real car.

This model shows the car as it looked when Vesti drove his free practice. It was George Russell's car, but for the occasion it had been given the starting number '42'. At the Young Driver Test in 2022 Vesti drove with number '21' but in 2023 Nyck de Vries used this number in his F1 debut and thus it was occupied. The observant reader has of course already noticed that '42' is the double of '21'. The model is made in a very limited number at RacingStore.
