H.K.H. Prins Joachim »
HRH Prince Joachim has been a prominent figure in Danish historic motorsport for many years – both as an active driver, but also as a patron and front figure for the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix (CHGP) for 30 years.
As a driver, he is closely associated with a cream-colored Ford Cortina Lotus, with which he has participated in the Historic 1965 class. He has won the championship in this class 5 times (2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013).
For the CHGP, one of the big attractions for many years was the 'Royal Pro-Am' where domestic racing drivers (and the prince) shared a car with big international names. Over the years, the prince has driven with Tom Kristensen, Jochen Mass, Derek Bell and several others.
