Malthe Jakobsen »
Malthe Jakobsen's path into motorsport initially followed the traditional path. First karting and when he was old enough, then a switch to a formula racer - in his case a Formula 4 in the Danish championship in 2018.
He needed some time to settle in, but at the end of the season he started to take home podium finishes and in 2019 he took a string of victories and won the championship convincingly.
Alongside the races in Denmark, Malthe had also participated in the South East Asia Formula 4 championship, but without much success and up to 2020 a new plan was made.
A switch to LMP3 racing followed and the next 3 seasons he drove in several different series - although primarily ELMS. A lot of experience was gathered and this resulted in an ELMS championship in LMP3 in 2022.
In 2023 he moved up to LMP2, but just as importantly the LMP3 championship had also led to a test at Peugeot. They liked what they saw and it probably didn't exactly dampen interest that Malthe later in 2023 made his debut at Le Mans with a second place in the LMP2 Pro-Am.
Again, plenty of experience was gathered in LMP2 series around the world and for the 2025 season Malthe Jakobsen became a permanent part of Peugeot's WEC team.
