The Car »

Type: Porsche 962C
Drivers: Kris Nissen, Volker Weidler, Kunimitsu Takahashi
Race: 1987 24h Le Mans
Result: Retired

Comments

In 1987 Kris Nissen participated in the Le Mans 24 Hours for the first time. But is was a short race for the Dane. He was the first driver in the car - and he also became the last. After only 6 laps the team had to retire due to engine problems. The story goes that the quality of the petrol available for the race was lacking a bit. But - as you can imagine - Porsche and the race organisation have different opinions about that.
