Lars Erik Nielsen and his codrivers were for a long time heading towards certain victory in the GT2 category. But with only a few hours left Dominik Farnbacher had to stop at the track. The transmission had cried enough. He succeded in making some emergency repairs and could limp the car back to the pits. The car was repaired and rejoined the race, but the victory was lost. The team ended up second - just one lap behind the winners.
