Nicki Thiim drove the Nürburgring 24h 2011 in an all new Golf24. VW had made this model to celebrate the 35 years aniversary for the Golf.
Sporting a turbocharged 5-cylinder 2,5 liter engine with 440 HP and permanent 4-wheel drive it was surely a very special Golf and Thiim and his fellow drivers were among the fastest in their class.
But shortly after midnight it was all over. The gearbox cried enough and the team had to retire.
