Le Mans 1987 looked to be over almost before it began, when the Tiga stopped at the end of Mulsanne after 90 minutes of racing.
It turned out to be due to an electrical error - but Thorkild Thyrring managed to fix it with the tools in the car. He got the car back to the pits and the team could continue.
For the rest of the race it was full speed ahead. The car fought its way back and finished as number 10. This was the best result Thorkild Thyrring ever got at Le Mans.
