The tricky weather in the Nürburgring area put up a huge challenge for the drivers in 2013. The race began at a dry track but soon the heavens opened and when it got dark fog covered the track and the race had to be suspended.
Allan Simonsen and his team had been in the lead for the major part of the race and they continued their good work when the race was restarted after the day broke. The fog was gone, but it was still raining which also made the final hours a challenge. Unfortunately they could not keep the speed and they dropped back to a 10th place.
