Bastian Buus »
Bastian Buus has followed the traditional way into motorsport.....almost. As so many others he began at an early age in karts, but where many young drivers starts driving almost before they are able to walk, Bastian was 10 years old when he first tried karting.
He was a quick learner, though, and already for his second year in karting he became a member of one of the leading Danish karting-teams - RS Competition. He drove for the team for 6 years with many top results. The best being winner of the 'Danish Super Kart' championship in 2017.
While karting he also tried racing real cars in the Danish Aquila Synergy Cup. The cars used in the cup was a bespoke Danish produced car which with some imagination could resemble a double-sized kart with a simple bodywork. Following the traditional ladded the next step should be some kind of Formula racing, but instead Bastian went abroad and participated in the GT4 European Series 2020 in a Porsche. This went very well and he took several victories (both in class and in general) finishing the year as European Champion in the ProAm class.
These results made Bastian a name and for 2021 he advanced to Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and in 2022 he advanced even further adding a full year in the Porsche Carrera Supercup - support class for Formula 1 - to his participation in the German series. He continued delivering good results which also opened up for possibilities in long distance racing. The best result - until now - was winning the Porsche Carrera Supercup rookie championship in 2022 with a record number of victories. And to underline his talent he did more than just winning among the rookies - he also won 2 Supercup races overall.
