Philip Andersen - DTC 2007
|
Philip Andersen made his debut in karting in 1993 and soon he was among the fastest drivers. In 1995 he came second in the Danish Championship and the following year he won the McDonalds Swedish Championship.
He continued with karting in Denmark and Germany and participation in the World Championship before he graduated to single-seaters in 1999. In the beginning without any significant results, but that changed in 2001. For that season he changed to Formula Renault and he dominated the category at the Danish tracks for two years - winning two championships.
Philip Andersen did test for Formula 3000, but he continued his career in touring cars. Since 2003 he has been driving in the Danish Touringcar Championship, but not quite with the same succes as in single-seaters. His best year was 2006 when he won the DTC-Cup for non-works drivers. The same year he made his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours where he drove for Team Essex - the same team he was driving for in the DTC.
