Comments
In 2007 Casper Elgaard for the first time participated in the Le Mans 24h without being part of a team set up by fellow Dane, John Nielsen. However, Elgaard was obviously in a competitive car as Christophe Bouchut put the car on pole position in the GT1-class for the race. During the race itself the team did not quite fight for class victory, though, but they kept close to the leaders and the reward was the first visit to the podium for Casper Elgaard.

Notice that this model has a Le Mans logo above the startnumber at the bonnet, which the IXO-model below lacks. At pictures taken during the race this logo is present at the car.

IXO |

A check of the IXO-model reveals that something is missing. Above the '008' at the door should be the Le Mans 24h logo, but instead there is only a huge, white square. But below the plinth an explanation can be found. A small bag containing some decals is taped to the plinth together with a note explaining, that due to copyright issues IXO is not allowed to use the Le Mans logo. However - if you mount the decals carefully they form the 24 hour logo and the model is complete. The picture show the model as it is when you buy it - without the logos. The small picture in the corner shows the door of the model after applying the extra decals.
Notice that the model lacks the Le Mans logo above the startnumber at the bonnet compared to the Spark-model above. At pictures taken at the presentation in Le Mans town centre before the race this logo was not mounted. Thus the IXO-model shows the car as it was before the race. The model also lacks louvres in the front fenders - this is an error.
