Michelle Gatting drove for the Iron Dames in a Porsche in 2023 and the team stood out from early in the race as a really good bet for victory. They were on course for a podium place right into the final hours, but a little lack of speed towards the end - as well as a brake change after 23 hours - sent them down to 4th place.
They fought hard to reach 3rd place, but had to see themselves beaten by a paltry 5 seconds at the finish. A bitter pill to swallow after a really great race.
