In 1995 a new, global sportscar championship rose from the ashes of the late Group C. John Nielsen teamed up with the German gentleman racer, Thomas Bscher, in a McLaren F1 GTR and after a very consistent campaign they won the BPR Global GT Endurance Championship. Two wins and no less than 9 podiums in 12 races paved the way.

Unfortunately this is a 'political correct' model as the tobacco logos for Davidoff is not present.

A small twist is, that the complete logo says 'Davidoff Cigarettes' and the 'Cigarettes' text is still present at the model - this is apparently legal. The world is a strange place nowadays.

The Kit »

Manufacturer: CGM model
Model ID: ---

The kit shows the car in full West livery. However the car did not race like this very often due to tobacco advertisements not being allowed in many countries. This fact has apparently led to a little confusion at CGM model, because the photographs supplied with the kit to show how to place the decals, shows two different versions of the car. A West liveried car and an East liveried car! However the kit only supplies the West decals.
