Birthday: 6-9-1990

Marco Sørensen drove his first race when 8 years old - but at that time he had already been karting privately for 4 years.

In 2006 he switched to Formula Ford. He drove in Denmark the first year, but after that he moved abroad. Via Formula Ford and Formula Renault he found his way to Formula 3, where second place in the German Championship (2011) helped him progress to Formula Renault 3.5.

For 4 years he drove in Formula Renault 3.5 and GP2 but even though he won races and visited the podium several times, he never managed to secure a top spot in the championship. During this time he was also working with the Lotus - and later Renault - Formula 1 team as a test, simulator and reserve driver.

However the association with Formula 1 didn't really lead to any progress so in 2015 he turned his attention towards GT-racing. He secured a seat at Aston Martin and has since won the 2016 World Championship in LMGTE Pro.
