Mention Kurt Thiim and DTM and you probably at once think Mercedes. But actually it was in a Rover in 1986 he suceeded in winning the championship. The Rover was a bit of an outsider - Thiim was driving the only Rover in the championship - but winning 3 races and adding two further podiums in the 9 races, it was a pretty safe win.
