Nürburgring 2014 was a troubled year for Nicki Thiim. Early in the race the teams was in the leading pack but then a driveshaft gave up and later the team had to change the gearbox. This took a lot of time and when another driveshaft broke shortly after the car was back on track, the team chose to retire.
