2005 was not Jan Magnussens year at Sebring. Although his car qualified as fastest GT1 car this did not lead to victory. At arround the halfway mark Magnussen Corvette was hit by a backmarker and needed 40 minutes in the pit for repairs. This left the car out of contention for the victory, but Jan Magnussen and his teammates still took the final step at the podium in the GT1 class.
