Le Mans 2016 did not begin well for Jan Magnussen and Corvette Racing. During qualification it was obvious that the cars lacked speed and Jan Magnussens car was the slowest in the class. To rub extra salt into the wound his car was sent to the back of the grid for failing to do the minimum number of laps during qualifying.
The BoP for the GTEPro class was adjusted slightly before the start of the race, but the Corvettes still couldn't match the fastest cars and even if Jan Magnussens team didn't put a wheel wrong during the race the could only manage 7th at the finish.
